For christmas i was given a Polaroid camera. I think it is a Polaroid PDC 4055, not certain though. Anyway, when i bought the camera it said use AA batteries. Whenever i put any in however i take about two piictures the battery says low and turns itself off. I have tried different varietys of batteries. I dont know what else to to do that can give it a full battery.

the problem. They told me to send the camera in and charges start at $150. What a rip off. I can buy a new camera for around that. My problem is this. My camera worked fine, but then one day I turned it on and I can only take an initial picture. The picture is bright white and then when I try to go from regular camera mode from lets say looking through the lens to seeing it on the screen, it just has an insert on the glass I look through and then doesnt go to the large screen. When I take a picture it takes the picture and then the camera is back to normal every thing works, but I can not click the picture so it takes the picture. Zoom works (unlike it does when I just start it). I am confused, i did all the restore features, and I changed memory cards, I kept the batteries out for 24 hours, but nothing changes. I called Olympus and they tell me they cant do it over the phone and if I wanted to get it fixed they would charge me $150 to send it in...to START. Help!!

I have two light meters - one is Boots and the other is Western III, for 200 ASA and 250th they both advise f4, but my two SLR cameras both advise f8 - I trust my cameras because they both give excellent photos, and it also makes sense in my estimation of light levels, so why the big difference? There are no batteries in the light meters.

I'm having trouble finding replacement recharcheable batteries for our Sony DSCP31 Cyber-Shot Camera. I was wondering If using a battery with a higher mAH rating would harm the camera?

i'm thinking of three or four particular types: phone cameras, disposable cameras, older cameras that use one-time flash cubes, and older cameras that have an integral flash (they can often be found at thrift shops). is there a range of light ouputs? how broad is it, if so? are there different wavelengths of light? are flash cubes still even available? essentially, i'm looking for the cheapest brightest flash (reusable'd be nice), in a hand held, or smaller, size. thanks!

I have a bunch of filters for my 28-135mm lens with a 72 mm thread, but I've just bought a 77mm Sigma 10-20mm lens (which I love!) Given it's a wide angle lens, is it advisable that I buy a new set of filters or can I use a step down? Any help would be well appreciated!

Also, what is a good store to buy from ? I've heard of Black's but I think that they're expensive... I live in Canada, so if someone could give me some names of stores, that would be really appreciated. I'm looking for a digi cam that's 3.5 megapixels min. I'm not looking to spend a whole lot. If possible, I'm trying to spend as close to $125 as I can. I guess the most I'm willing to spend would be $300. Someone suggested that I buy a digi cam instead of buying a 35 mm first. He's prob right. I should just buy a few dis cameras (Christmas & other occassions) & saving up for a digi cam. Can someone recommend a good model ? Where can I buy it ? I'm not trying to buy anything online cuz I don't have a credit card. I'm thinking of places like Wal Mart & anywhere else in Winnipeg, Manitoba (Canada) where I can buy electronics. Thanx !!!
