What would happen to a picture from a dissposable camera if the flash is covered with black tape.

The picture would come out as if there was no flash used. If taken indoors in a low-lit room the picture would be very blurred.

Clear tape might act as a light diffuser spreading the light out evenly. This possibly could reduce red eye. Since I've never heard of anybody actually doing this successfully, it might not work.
