I need some suggestions on what camera to buy. It needs to be small and compact for when i take to gigs and possibly even waterproof. Long-Lasting Battery and good quality images.

Cheap?? not if you want durable and waterproof
SeaLife DC500 5.0 mp Digital Underwater Camera is a great camera...it is a scuba diving camera so can get wet and housed in rubber so very durable....that thing can get tossed and bounced back and still work great -- it is about 499.00 cheaper than that you wont find waterproof. But if you are looking for a Good digital camera fairly small and ok quality then go to eBay and search digital camera there-- they have some pretty small ones. I just got one at Wal-Mart for less than 80.00

I suggest the Olympus Stylus 720SW. It retails for $399, but you can generally find it much lower - check for deals at bargain websites such as fatwallet.com.
