how can i exchange my camera?

i was just given a canon powershot sd550 that i want to upgrade to a canon powershot sd700. i dont have a receipt. walmart doesnt carry either one, and anywhere else i've tried needs a receipt. i dont want to return it, i just want to upgrade. its totally unopened and brand new. any ideas?

Unless you can get a gift receipt, you're pretty much out of luck.
You can try to ebay it and use that money towards the SD700.
