i am a photographer, brisbane looking to buy a canon eos 1d n mark ii camera body. prefer local for cod. It has to be near mint condition.

Well, first off, are you set on the "N". The N was a limited run, and the 1D Mark II is already very uncommon. There really isnt that much differnece, and you will be able to find a better deal. Only a suggestion.

The classifieds move really fast, so you might want to also.
Another suggestion is to check the http://www.Adorama.com used section. I bought a backup 1D Mark II from there, labeled "refurbished". Truth is, it was practically brand new. When canon does big shows and what not, their display and demo cameras often get sold to stores like Adorama as "refurbished". THe cameras are often brand new, and a good deal.

I see this is the second time you're giving it a try here.
As you know, the 1D Mk2 N is still the king of pro sports cameras, so there's nothing for current owners to upgrade to. And the 1D Mk2 N never sold in big numbers to begin with... Even eBay international doesn't list one for less than retail, so really, you're one heck of an optimist to hope you'll find one locally in near mint condition.
Perhaps it's time to just order one from a shop.
