I would like to have it so that when I print a contact list, the notes for each contact will appear on the printed page as well.

I've tied to update my Internet Explorer from 5.01 to a lter version, either 5.5 or 6. I don't believe the 5.5 version is available on the Microsoft website. I can'tuse the Windows Update feature because it's only available with IE 5.5 and above.

I have a budget with 50 seperate accounts. I want a running balance of each seperate account each time I enter an invoice that is to be paid. I would like to use a dropdown box to show these 50 accounts and have EXCEL see that budget account I have chosen substract the amount of the invoice and provide me with a running balance of that paticular account. To make it MORE complicated I need the budget to be seperated into 4 quarters that are not equal in value. *sigh*

I need to take an advanced Excel course!

I have an Acer L100 that came with Windows Vista installed on it. No original disk were sent with the computer is suppose to have everything in a partion of the HD. While windows was setting itself up, computer rebooted, and now I get a message that says
"The computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows installtion cannot proceed. To Install Windows, click "OK" to restart the computer, and then restart the installation"

Now if I click "OK" it rebbots and goes right back to the same screen.

please help this is a brand new computer never been used.

I have been using Ubuntu for a while, but it was very hard to use and get best efficiency, because of a lot knowledge needed. I as a former user of XP wanted setups to be easy and all files (especially .exe) openable. This disappointed me. What could I do? XP is very expensive (Vista will need better pc). I also need .exe to be executed as Wine has not been working well enough for me(bugs, errors, etc...). Only these files with .deb were normally able to be used. That was not enough. I did not even know how to install java programming and compilations to my pc. I really liked the point of view (free forever). The only thing I hated in XP was error reports and quickly crashing system. So in conclusion I do not know where to go :D
What OS to choose (I need it to be free)?
Something very similar to XP, but free. I would like to have mac, but it is too expensive for me...
Can you offer me something?

and about a month ago i completely wiped the hard drive and reinstalled the operating system. Microsoft gives you 30 days to activate my copy of windows, and i need to do it now because i only have 5 days left. Where can i get the activation key, because i bought this computer at a garage sale. Somebody has told me that the key is on the side of the tower (where you enter in cd's and stuff), but i looked there and it appears to have been scratched off. HELP!

Hello please can anyone help. I have a advent laptop running windows vista premium. its about 6 months old and recently i get start up errors when i switch the laptop on. It comes up with windows was unable to start and a start up repair box appears where it gives me a few options such as vista repair utility, reinstall windows, exit and restart and advanced options. I usually get this problem at least once a week. so i choose the repair option then its attempts to repair it. Sometime it takes a few attempts then it all works for a few days then again i start the computer and same problem. I also get a blue screen come up before the error message which comes with lots of letters and number but disappears about 1 sec so dont get enough time to read it ..hope anyone can help.

i have recently downloaded msn(big mistake!) now, i can not get rid of it. it keeps coming up as my homepage, and i have to keep typing in my providers address before i can get back to my original home page. i can not get to any of my e.mails straight away unless i do this first every time. i must tell you though, that i only know the basics so far, as i am fairly new on the computer, so can you tell me a quick but simple answer to this problem, and give me a step by step, PLEASE. i would be very gratefull, as this is driving me mad. thank you so much.

What I want to do is have the cell(s) display ex. "1:30", meaning 1 minute and thirty seconds. I don't want it to display "0:01:30" for the same.
Also I will need to average the cells in a seperate cell, I am hoping I can use the AVG function, but with the format being in Minutes and Seconds screw it up?
Microsofts helpsite is virutually vacant of coherant info on this and no such available format is on Office2007.

how to make a bootable windows xp sp2 cd known that i already have all the files on my computer and i once tried to burn them on a cd , then i changed the boot options in BIOS so the CD drive would boot first , but the CD wasnt recognized . also i do not have fat32 drive to install if you want to suggest using win98 bootdisk . what should i do ? im pretty sure its just a small file that makes the cd start on dos mode , but i have no clue what that file is or how to make it !!

i have windows xp media center, but it has a lot of errors the main ones are windows installer popping up all the time and some others. if i upgraded to home premium or another eg ultimate and backed up all my files and put the files back on after installing vista would my errors be fixed ? does putting a new operating system on get rid of any paid for programmes ?
