Software - December 2007

When I purchased my printer, it came with a free download of a greeting card factory. I made my business pamplets using this program. Computer crashed twice, second time with disc in it! Dell sent me a new computer and here I am with no software to creat this simple card that just folds in half. I have searched on microsofts web site etc and I cant find a simple blank template. Does anyone know what I can do? Thanks so much for your time!!

we go to crtl,alt.del, to get to new tasks,then go to internet from there. we have to shut down the hard drive to shut off. we don't have a restore disc. what can I do from the computer to restore things?

Hello, I am new to winamp. I am also being forced to use it. I thought I would just pop my itunes library backup in and copy the whole thing.(its on a seperate pc). When I did that it copied only 93 songs out of around 1500. There doesnt seem to be any pattern or simple solution that I can find, but I am not exactly expert when it comes to this sort of thing. Any help?thnx

My file is 1.1 GB. It says 25%. Yet it says it has uploaded 740MG. Obviously 740MG is not 25% of 1.1GB. Why does it say that number then?

I know how to use Windows Movie Maker, but how do i take internet videos and add them into my videos.
at a workshop class i take i was told that videos from youtube.com can be added in the movie.

i've been tryin to sort this out for days and i've asked several times on here but nothings workin. I have a HP Vectra VL400 and there is NO sound driver for it on the hp website. Not for Windows xp home edition anyway.
Where can i get one??? It says i have no soundcard after reinstalling windows but it worked fine before.
PLEASE HELP!!!

I by accident bought a dvd-r instead of dvd+r and I didn't notice until it was to late to take them back. It seems easy to burn on to dvd+r instead of dvd-r. Why? What is the differnece but please in plain english thanks. Anyway I can't seem to burn onto them like dvd+r. I use Nero So How can I download on them I bought a 30 pack and I have ruined 6 cds now. I got them to put my music and photos. Does anyone know what I can do to use them or understand whats the problem. By the way I managed to burn one on the dvd-r and I have no clue how I did it or remember what I did.

A little while ago I bought a copy of Windows XP off Ebay which the seller said came with a product activation key.When I got the software there was no product key included.

Apart from this the software was genuine and unopened.Is there any way i could contact Microsoft to get a completely new activation key for the software?Would I have to pay?Any more information?

Hi, i've had vista since September, and i've been reasonable patient with it, but now i've had enough!
i have a Ei-system El 3103 with 512 Mb DDRII and 533 RAM.
When Vista starts for me, the start up logo comes first, with a delay on the sound.
Also, once logged on to vista, programmes take up to 10 minutes to load, and even when loaded, vista will sometimes crash in that time, or once the programme is open, will not responde for some time.
I am wondering, is this to do with my 533 RAM, if so, i was thinking of getting 1g RAM, soon, if not please tell me, i'm not an expert on Laptops so make simple was possible.

I need to know how to restore my ITunes library. I accidently deleted EVERYTHINGI have/had about 55 GB of music, video, podcast, everything in my ITunes Library, but I only have a 30 GB IPod, so not all of my data (obviously) is on my IPod. I was trying to make room on my computer to download more files, so I went to delete my ITunes backup music files (which I had done before and it didn't affect anything in my ITunes library). Well, apparently I must have deleted all of my main files for ITunes, because after it was all done I relaunched ITunes and EVERYTHING, all 55 GB was GONE! It's not in my Recycle Bin EITHER; it's all just GONE! Now I have Music Rescue and I know how that works, but there was a WHOLE lot more than just my 30 GB I wanted to restore to my library. I want to try and get everything back. Is this possible? Please, if some really computer savvy person can help me out and let me know what I have to do in order to get these back, I would really, really appreciate it!

I'm an amateur graphics designer and I've been using Serif Photoplus 6.0 for about a year and a half now. This Christmas my mom decided to buy me a better program but I need help deciding which one to tell her to get me. It can't be insanely unaffordable which means only around $100 or so. I want something worth buying though so I was hoping I could have some opinions on which brand is better. Advice on versions would be awesome as well. Thanks!

could you answer a question for me? In order to download something, I have to find the Browser bundle but i have searched through all the applications, everything. I need to lunch my Safari browser in the "Rosetta emulation mode" but i cant find the browser bundle (in with i can open it the right way) ANYWHERE!! If you have any experience, please help!!

I have an old computer that I have not used for about four years.I am trying to use it now but I forgot the password to start it.When I connect,it prompts me to enter my password.I have tried all my passwords but none seems to be working.Someone told me to press F1 or F2 immediately the computer is startin to reset the password.
Can anybody tell me the best way?


I followed advise from folks who replied earlier,but my screen reads "No active partition DISK BOOT FAILURE, INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER.

Any more advice?

I would like to check whether it is possible to create an image that contains all the standard executables (CD/DVD writing software, adobe reader, winrar, windows live messenger or yahoo messenger, antivirus and antispyware).
To do the image I can use Ghost but the problem is that I would like to load this image into computers that have different specs. Some are via, others intel, others sis....
Do you think that if I create three different images for each chipset and then load that particular image, I would be able to have a good OS?
Would an image created on a P4 intel chipset mainboard work on another P4 intel chipset mainboard from a different manufacturer?

I would like to email a 16MB video but need to reduce it to less than 10MB so that it is small enough to attach to an email. Winzip cannot make it small enough. Is there a file conversion tool that would work?
