I need to know how to restore my ITunes library. I accidently deleted EVERYTHINGI have/had about 55 GB of music, video, podcast, everything in my ITunes Library, but I only have a 30 GB IPod, so not all of my data (obviously) is on my IPod. I was trying to make room on my computer to download more files, so I went to delete my ITunes backup music files (which I had done before and it didn't affect anything in my ITunes library). Well, apparently I must have deleted all of my main files for ITunes, because after it was all done I relaunched ITunes and EVERYTHING, all 55 GB was GONE! It's not in my Recycle Bin EITHER; it's all just GONE! Now I have Music Rescue and I know how that works, but there was a WHOLE lot more than just my 30 GB I wanted to restore to my library. I want to try and get everything back. Is this possible? Please, if some really computer savvy person can help me out and let me know what I have to do in order to get these back, I would really, really appreciate it!

What is "System Restore", and How do you use the "Go Back" program?

One more tidbit: I downloaded a program called "Drive Rescue" that is supposed to retrieve my music files, but the thing is I tried to use it and it found the folder but it was empty!! When I originally deleted these files, it said that the folder was too big to put into the Recycle Bin, but do I want to delete it any way and I put "Yes to All"...The folder never moved, but everything inside it was gone...Is it unretrievable? Why can I find the supposed folder it was supposed to be in, yet there's still nothing in it? Will a paid software work better to get this all back? I really need some help. I'm afraid that the longer I wait the harder it will be to rescue. I need any advice you can give me. Thank you!!

What happens when you use your computer's Go Back program and you reset it to an earlier backup point?

EDIT: Your computer automatically backs itself up every so often. I am not sure how to access it, as I don't have my own personal computer to mess with it. I'm on my work laptop and I don't know where it is on here. I'd go to the Microsoft webpage and type in system restore and see if they can walk you through using the program and reset it to yesterday, if possible so when your computer restarts, it reads like it was yesterday.

If it is music you have purchassed on iTunes, you can email them to ask to redownload the files you have lost. I have done this several times, and when I accidentally deleted £20 worth of music the iTunes store let me re-download every one of them. I wish you could redownload songs without the hastle of emailing them, but you will have to... go to this support site: http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/store/browser/
They reply within 48 hours, and often within 24.
