My file is 1.1 GB. It says 25%. Yet it says it has uploaded 740MG. Obviously 740MG is not 25% of 1.1GB. Why does it say that number then?

First of all...you said 740 MG....MG is not a even a type....there are three commons ones...KB (Kilobyte), MB (Megabyte) and GB (gigabyte)....but there are a lot more than that..the next that comes after GB is TB (terabytes)...but MG is not possible...because size of any file has to be in BYTES...
and another thing....25% is DOWNLOADING....but whatever the 740 is only UPLOADING...so it doesn't make a difference....

your life is 25% done of 1.1 GB.....that's all....it doesn't matter how fast the uploading goes...or it's even uploading or not...
TIP: if you cancel the uploading...the download will get faster

the calculating is just off. %might be going to fast or the amount downloaded is going slow.. it will even out, nothing is wrong... 1 might finish before the other, but its ok

dont worry.....
such discrepancies occur while downloading...
wait for it to get completed and then use the file....
