can anyone give tips and tricks on how to optimize window vista without using tweak software

Install MS Windows XP Seriously though, MS Vista has much higher requirements than MS Windows XP and performance tends to be lack luster.

Best way to improve performance:
- Install at least 2GB of RAM
- Change desktop from Aero to Aero Basic
- Look at the running applications and change what one's really need to be running (i.e. does Adobe quick launch really need to start automatically?)
