If you are using Word 2007, it is on the home tab. You will see a border tool.

Click Format on the Menu bar, Borders and Shading. Selecting from the Borders tab puts a border of your choice around the selected text. Selecting a border from the Page Border tab puts a border of your choice around the whole page.

Go to Print Preview and find out why your borders are not showing up for printing.
If your borders are in the proper location on each side of the screen, they should print properly. You have to set options for printing, both in Word and in your Print options dialog box.
The first step is Print Preview, and then go into your Print Options and make sure borders are selected. You can set several different Print Profiles for different tasks, that each have different configurations. You simply set all of the options you wish for certain printing tasks, and then click Save and then name it. When you wish to use it you just click on that profile, at least that is how it works in my Dell and my HP printers. Oh, in our old Compaq too.

there should be an option on your toolbar under format, then scroll down to borders and shading, that will give you the option to print borders.
