I would like to have it so that when I print a contact list, the notes for each contact will appear on the printed page as well.

Right click on the Fields bar (Name, Address, Phone etc.) and on the menu click on Customize Current View. In the Customize View click on the Fields button. Scroll the left pane until you find the word Notes, select it and click the Add button to add the Notes field to the right pane. Then you can move it where you like. Click OK and it's done.
