it seems to have moved to the side and its doing my nut in!!!

no it aint easy! its going up the side and will not move, it will just get wider!!

You mean the menu bar? Left-Click drag it to the bottom.
EDIT
Make sure you get the middle and not the edge of the bar. When you do get it back try right clicking on it and Lock Toolbar

Put your cursor in the task bar and right. In the box that opens, make sure that there is no check in "Lock the task bar". Now, with the Task bar unlocked, put your cursor in the bar and hold the left mouse button down and drag the Task bar to where you want it. Relock the bar. If the Task bar is left unlocked it can be accidentally moved.

just drag it
u kno - scroll ur mouse over it - press the left mouse button - keep it pressed - and drag it to the bottom. it'll work. easy aint it?

Drag your task pane to the bottom of the screen.
