i am using windows live messenger plus and I am using the emotions sound feature and it says i cant make a full length song a emotion sound unless its truncated 1st.

I had internet explorer 6.1 on my PC and it was giving me problems. So I removed it by going to add remove programs and tried downloading the same version through my firefox browser. I.E. first gets saved then when i run it a message says that there is a higher version installed in the system, hence can not continue. How do i resolve this issue?

Every time I change computers there are some documents I can no longer open. Since I have parts of a book on some of these programs I lose anything I have not printed. This time if I used note pad it transfered, every thing else cannot be opened. I went from millenium to Xp. Then Xp regular to xp professional. I have some in microsoft word, and some in another common program ( cannot remember the name). Should I purchase a program or what? The only thing I dont like about word pad is it does not offer much help for fomatting and no spell check, or page numbering. What should I do?

i recently bought a nikon coolpix L11 but when i insert the picture project or the user manual cd inside the cd drive nothing happens. no cd icon pops up on the screen as it should do. what can i do? i really need to print these pictures. it is quite important. is there any other way i could print them.

My PC has developed a serious promblem. In "My Documents" all the documents files when I try to open them I get computer jargon instead of the written wording. Here is an example of what I am getting

On other files I am told that "Windows cannot open C:\documents, The file may be in use by another application, the file format may not be supported by any of the installed converters ot the file may be corrupt.

All the photo files in My Pictures will not open and display the picture.

I have CD back available of both the documents and photos but find the fault quite annoying. I tried system restore but that didnt solve the problem. Any ideas???? My spyware and anti virius give me a clear bill of health I also use a registery cleaner and spybot.

Not Outlook Express, but Outlook the full version. I'd prefer to get Windows XP rather than Vista, but it's important that whatever operating system I choose includes Outlook if at all possible.

I've just been sent an excel spreadsheet or workbook if you like... There are hundereds of tabs each referering to different places and when clicked on of course different statistics for those places are displayed. It's taking me ages to find the tabs i need as none of them are in order. Is there a way of seaching for a specific tab name?

Are there any compatability issues with Excel (Office)2007 reading/ formulas etc when opening an Excell 2003 file. Currently in my workplace I am making complex spreadsheets with 2003 version and am concerned that it will not work correctly when they install Office 07. Would appreciate some advice or tips.

I want to make a reference to another file in the network so that I can display the value of a specific cell.

Example:
Project A has a total bill of $445
Project B has a total bill of $885
Project C has a total bill of $1234
These bills are all stored in their respective folders in the network eg. folder Project A, Project B etc.

I want to create a worksheet that collates those total bills together without me opening the file. Is that possible? Also, the total bill is displayed in a fixed cell in all of the files. Eg. all 3 files' total bills are shown in cell A5 in their repsecitve excel sheets. Please give me a detailed format as I'm not very good with macros. Thanks!

if I have the number 11,000,000 for example in a cell, is there any way I can get the cell to recognize it as just 11?

so basically I have a range of data
11,000,000
11,500,000
10,000,000
12,100,000

and I want the cells just to show 11, 11.5, 10, 12.1

any way of doing this??

I want to have a function that divides one number by another and I inputed =QUOTIENT(numerator, denominator), but it says that 46/23 is 2.000 AND if I change 46 to 60, the answer is still 2.000.

How do I fix this rounding error?

(its excel 2007 if that matters)

ever since we installed it we are unable to click on links can not pull up websites and the computer is running very slowly.it will bring up the page and blocking out info. it says that it is unable to do anything because of the settings???? any ideas?

How do you remove a picture in Powerpoint's background? Below are the steps that were used to insert a picture:

1. Format, Background
2. Fill Effects
3. Picture
4. Select an image and apply

How do you then remove the image once it's applied/saved? ie so there are no image at all.

I'm typing an essay.
Normally,I would just double space myself however,I'm used to single space and it would be hard for me to remember.
I did hear something about a double space option but I don't know if its on Wordpad or another program.
If its on Wordpad,please tell me how to select the double space option.
If not, tell me which program is required to automatically double space.
