i have intel pentium 64 processer. the windows vista is for intel pentium 32 processors. my school didnt have the one for 64 bits.

Yes 32 will work on 64 computer but 64 vista will not work on 32 computer.
if it was 64 vista on 64 computer will be running faster than 32.

64-bit is much faster and a bit more stable but it will have incompatibility issues with software because many software writers/publishers are not yet up to the tasks of writing 64-bit software (has nothing or at least very little to do with Vista). The Dv5 is a great laptop using the 64-bit vista home premium but nothing too special with 32-bit so overall I'd probably go with the 32-bit because of the anatomy and physiology software but probably not a dv5....

it's no problem, 64 bit porcesor also support 32 bit instruction, so they support 32 bit OS

download a free linux OS and get your money back for the crappy vista before its too late
