i am using windows live messenger plus and I am using the emotions sound feature and it says i cant make a full length song a emotion sound unless its truncated 1st.

truncate is more than just to shorten something, it specifically means to cut the end of something off. So when you truncate a song, you play the first few seconds (or however long) just like normal, but then it just ends suddenly.

It means 'To shorten'. You need to put the song in a sound editor (Windows Movie Maker -MIGHT- do it) and cut out most of the song.
