hmm..what kind of messenger are you using?
just look for the "options" mode in your messenger, then adjust video and audio settings..
first would be the headphones, next would be the mic, then last would be the webcam..
you will see the mix of colors in the options:
green, blue, red...

try it out..

Unless you bought a B&W camera, the program picking the images off and sending them has got a setting for B&W that is sent (like printer drivers have a B&W option.) You will have to go to Control Panel and open the properties for the Web Cam and look around.
