I was looking for another download system similar to limewire. I would just simply use limewire.. But with my computer, every time I download it, my computer fries and just breaks down. If any could, please inform me on any other download programs similar to limewires style. I've tried morpheus, but it's searching is limited. And with bitcomet, it's just too much stress. Please, please help me.

I have had a Gateway 2000, Windows 95 computer for quite some time now. It's been through a lot, and even survived the Chernobyl (CIH.WIN95) virus, though not by much as it has 16 bit color and no sound. I can't bring myself to get rid of it, even despite it's maximum internet usage of 50/60hz. It was my first baby! Lol. What are some interesting things I can do with it? I want to restore the bios, but I know there really isn't much that can be done to it "advance"-wise. It's such a nice simple model, I'd love to mess around with the options.

I had a few network problems a while back on my home PC (bloody AOL again), their live help instructed me to do a few things with my internet connection settings and since that time my IE7 has not worked. After loads of calls to AOL the situation is as follows, i had to uninstall IE7 then download IE6, which i done, problem is, when i try to load IE6 a warning dialogue comes up saying 'the computer already detects a more modern version of IE6 and cannot continue'. I've gone through all programmes and cant find anything to do with IE7 on my PC. Aol told me to go to start, run, d:\iesetup.exe and it detected a few icons during the search which i was told to pin to the start menu, but, when i click them to activate IE7, the same warning message comes up. I'm now stuck with a PC that dont have IE and thats causing me a few problems, any ideas please?? Apart from chucking the pc in the bin!!!

I currently have a Dell laptop (running Windows) that is about 4 years old, and want to replace it with one of the new Linux/Ubuntu Dells.
How hard is it to learn this new software? I'm computer savvy, but not at the programming level (I'm capable of doing HTML, and am generally better/geekier than the average person at computers but don't want to go in over my head with this...)
Thanks!

I've tried a variety over the years, from mcafee, norton, avast, I'm no using zone alarm, I find it hard to find a protection prog, that doesn't run my processor so high, it seems they all love to bog down my pc execpt for zone alarm. Yet it doesn't seem to block out the bad guys, I also use a combo of adaware, spybot, registry mechanic, even yahoo anti-spy but it doesn't stop anything. If I'm lucky one or the other will remove the problem t'ill the next time or will cause major problems. can anyone please suggest something...where am i going wrong?? thanks to all....Peace..

A pop up came up on my computer saying something along the lines the my copy of windows vista had expired and i need to either buy a new code or retype the new one. I'm not sure if this is a legit windows program or if its a spyware thing trying to get my key code or whatever, so I'm not sure if I should type in my code. What should I do...I have never heard of Vista expiring.
