I downloaded the Ubuntu Linux Live CD ISO. The file size is almost 700MB. It was saved in my desktop. So I rightclicked on it, and clicked delete. Then went to the Recycle bin, right clicked on the ISO of Ubuntu (700MB) and clicked delete. But did this REALLY delete it from my computer? Because I don't want to use up the Diskspace of 700. If not, what other way can you delete this file? Thanks.

SVCHOST.EXE ERROR...THEN A GENERIC HOST SERVICES WIN32 PROBLEM???? help!?
Alright first the svchost.exe problems pops up usually right after i turn on my computer...then a minute later another will popup for the generic host services win32 has encountered an error and needs to shut down (with the send or dont send or debug option) i have tryed the AVG program and it is still in the process of looking at all the "threats" i have had like over 20000 of them (mostly zip?) im assuming the reason im having these popups is bc of all those threats...but i dont know what it does with the files after it detects them! what should i do!!! this is driving me NUTS!!

I'm in the process of buying a legit copy of Windows Vista Home Basic which is the upgrade for my PC. I'm curious to know if there's anyone here who would know what I'd have to do to get the upgrade to successfully install without any errors.

I'm thinking that I'd just have to install the DVD and it'll format my drive and do everything itself. And well I'm not worried about loosing 5 points to ask something I just might have answered myself I'd rather be safe than sorry.

So is there any steps like, formatting my drive myself to install the upgrade or I just stick in the DVD and it'll do everything by itself?

I'll pick the best answer within an hour...Thanks in advance for answering.

I have tried to reduce the size of my pictures (jpeg files) and send them as emails; but when reducing the size the quality worsens quite severely. Is it possible to reduce the on-screen size without reducing the resolution?

Aol Clutters my PC and has slowed it down cosiderably, I recieve my mail through Outlook Express but have to send mail either via Yahoo or aol. Why cant I use Out look for everythig instead of Aol which I dont want on my PC.

My computer is seriously chugging lately, and all I have is an outdated version of Norton, so I'm sure I'm due for some better A/V software with ad/spyware busting abilities. But I'm not into paying 70$ just to RENEW Norton, when I'm sure there are better, less expensive (or free???) programs out there.

My guess is never. I can't wait until Leopard comes out in the fall and blows Vista out of the water. On the other hand, I think Vista is already doing that itself. I guess that's what happens when you try and ripoff OS X, and do a poor job at it to boot.

Can someone tell me how to add programs on a flash drive I downloaded the program to my desk top then dragged it into flash drive and deleted program from my desktop. When i put the flashdrive back in wont recognize the program. Do I have to keep the program loaded on my desktop
