Opera is just an internet browser. Yes, it may look different than the other browsers like IE, firefox, etc. but hey, Opera is a different software isn't it? So of course the user interface will look different than the other browsers you've used in the past. But after all, its still a browser! Type in the sites you want to go to in the address bar of Opera just like how you do it in other browsers and hit enter. There's a search bar to the right of address bar. You can use the dropdown to select different search engines, and type in the text you want to search for and press enter.
Make use of the buttons you see on the toolbars(back, forward, stop / refresh etc.) like you do in other browsers. Simple isn't it? The only new buttons for you will be the rewind and fast forward ones.
Use the tools -> preferences to change the preferences.
Use the tools -> appearance to change the skin, add buttons or toolbars on the user interface.
Use the glasses button to the right of the search bar, to open the view bar, and play with the different options.

For obvious reasons no one can teach you the entire Opera step by step in just one answer. What i explained above are just mere basics. To learn and know more, click on Help -> Opera help. or Help -> Support. and browse the links there for the help you need for a specific topic!

it relatively is not any fee. i won't be in a position of think of of a single element IE has over Opera. Opera is without delay, has velocity dial, has countless skins, has state-of-the-artwork seek engine key letters interior the handle bar, and facilitates mouse gestures. in basic terms attempt it out. in case you do no longer like it, you could uninstall it.
