Software - May 2007

i go to control panels and click on the program to unistall and i get a message,,,,,,the program is currently running, click ok and it will quit and automatically begin to unistall.......i click ok.....and then get the same message....over and over....

how do i unistall this dam thing?

I'm using an HP nc6000 laptop with Windows XP (sp2). I went into Power Options/Power Schemes and set it so my hard disk should automatically turn off after a period of time, but it didn't.

XP keeps using the disk, maybe once every 2 minutes, for God knows what reason and I think this is preventing the disk from going to sleep.

What can I do to get round this

I have a song which I'm attempting to upload onto a memorial site created in memory of my uncle-in-law, but when I tried to upload it I'm getting a message which says.....

"Your music file isn't in mp3 format, please convert and upload for it to work correctly"

I've checked the properties of the music file & it says it's an M3U file......???

How do I convert it so as to upload it successfully & is it easy to do?

It probably doesn't make the least bit of difference, but I'm using windows media player.

I like to check my spelling when write letters and other personal thoughts. I have tried to down load what was stated to be free bt it was only for like a week fre trail. Is a spellcheck

I'm wondering because I'm not sure the unwanted program, software, etc. goes after unistalling. I ran System Congifuration Utility and clicked on StartUp tab to disable any extra or unwanted items in the startup list that increases my startup time. I saw several programs I recently deleted that were still there in the startup tab. Is it just there or...what should I do about it?

I have a ati video card 9600 series and I have installed the software and it seems to be working fine but the problem is with the control. No error screen is popping up but the control does not react or do anything when i press the buttons. Can someone please help me fix this problem?

i recently reformatted my computer, and i had to go through the product activation program, and it said that my copy of xp was activated. but when i installed service pack 2, every time i reboot my pc, i have to re-activate my copy of windows! it says its valid and completes every time, but it is a nuicance. i tried using a tool to make it stop popping up, but then i couldnt download updates because the pc wasnt activated. then i ran the activaton tool and downloaded the updates. is there a patch or something to make it keep my pc activated?

Ok, so I installed this program with a connection to sony camcorders (my friend's, not mine) called PIXELA. The software didn't work very well, so I basically edited on a different computer using different software. Problem is, I can't seem to uninstall the freakin' thing!! I've checked the program files, and there is no application to uninstall. I can't delete the folders either. How the hell can get this thang off my computer!??

You will need to restart the program. An error log has been generated. i cleared my cache thru Tools/Internet option. what's wrong ? the same is true using my Yahoo Messenger! anybody? thnx
