Do a search in your drive for Mozilla.org folder in program files. Click into it then keep on go in deeper into the folder. There should be an Uninstall file in there that will let you completely removed all the installed Mozilla files.

Control alt delete, end task. Then go to msconfig, processes, turn off firefox. You probably have an "add on" that is running in the background (just cuz its free doesnt mean its good) or were made into a zombie because of somesoftware you downloaded. Now that the processes are shut dwn you should be able to uninstall.
