how can get a FREE Spell Check and be able to use it in documents?

I like to check my spelling when write letters and other personal thoughts. I have tried to down load what was stated to be free bt it was only for like a week fre trail. Is a spellcheck
that I can down load that will really be free and that I can use anywhere?

OpenOffice is completely free and works like MS Office. To me, there isn't much difference, but many people disagrees with me and says MS Office is better. So far, OpenOffice has done everything that I have needed it to do.

Are you using MS Office? Word?
In a Word document, go to top of file with Control+Home, then click Tools, Spelling and Grammar,
or
click Tools
Options
Spelling and Grammar
at the top left, click to check "check spelling as you type."
