I have a song which I'm attempting to upload onto a memorial site created in memory of my uncle-in-law, but when I tried to upload it I'm getting a message which says.....

"Your music file isn't in mp3 format, please convert and upload for it to work correctly"

I've checked the properties of the music file & it says it's an M3U file......???

How do I convert it so as to upload it successfully & is it easy to do?

It probably doesn't make the least bit of difference, but I'm using windows media player.

Thanks for your help Guys.....It's really appreciated

I'm sorry, kinkybootsno1, but no matter what others have said, you won't be able to convert an .m3u file to .mp3. The reason being, .m3u files are playlists of files, and not the actual music files. For instance, if you select several mp3s to be played, and then save the playlist, that's what will give you an .m3u file. (If you take a look at the size of your .m3u file, you'll find that it's only a few bytes, whereas an .mp3 file of a music file will be measured in Megabytes.)

once you create a playlist in some media gamers, like Winamp, the playlist record incorporates the extension M3U. Clicking an M3U record will develop each and every of the songs interior the playlist on your default audio participant. so which you will not convert a m3u record to any track format the record would not incorporate any information of track information, it incorporates purely links to the mp3 information you opt for.

Super Converter, google it, it's free and open souce. The website is a lil hard to navigate but it's worth it. The interface is easy once you know what you want and how you want it.
I absolutely love it.

If you are using iTunues, put the song in there, n select 'covert selection to mp3' from the 'advanced' menu. Hope that was useful.
