Is it safe to download Internet Explorer Version 7. And is it free ? I ask this cause some sites i go on tell me to download it for the site to work properly. And sometimes that is the 1st page i see when i turn on my computer for the day.

It's safe and free but you should download it from Microsoft.com

It is safe if you download direct from Microsoft:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/downloads/ie/getitnow.mspx

Do NOT download the Yahoo branded version of IE from Yahoo. It is IE-7 with Yahoo advertising crap plastered all over it! Get the original!

Yes and you can get it from the microsoft web site, but be wary of downloading it, some people still have problems with it and have ended up going back to IE6.

What I would do is go to the offical microsoft site and download it from there. I wouldn't trust any other site.

It should be safe.

Safe ? Yes
Free ? Yes
Good ? Not sure, seen so many PCs slowed down after IE7 upgrade, I am still using IE6 and works fine.

it is safe and free
most people who use internet explorer (myself included) use this explorer. Its the latest most up-to-date microsoft explorer.

you can find it at www.microsoft.com and hit downloads tab, or search IE7

IE7 has issues... personally I would wait a bit before downloading it - or - you can user a better browser... like Firefox!

security center
set up options
to do a manual check go here
