I believe System Restore only restores system files that are deleted or modified.
If you used Shift+Del in deleting your files, goodluck in finding them for it is permanently deleted.
Then again, these "permanently" deleted files can be recovered using recovery programs.
I've been using the classic "Lost and Found" for my deleted files.
But again, if you've just use "Delete" to delete that file, then its still in the recycle bin.

Go to the start button, go to the control panel, performance and maintenance, system, system restore and you choose the point closest to when you lost the file and you can recover it.
