Google has a free accelerator. Most accelerators claim up to 5x increased speed. In real world situations you'll be lucky to get a 2x increase. But if it's taking 6 seconds now to access a website and you can cut that to 3 seconds, only you can decide if it's worth it. Read the FAQs.

Its a hardware limit, not much you can do to speed it up, some claim software compression will help, but I tried and cant see much difference except you are out of pocket by $30, dialup is dialup , full stop.
