If you dont know, BE CAREFUL! They are very good tools, but they can be used by people to do very bad things to you. I'd learn more about puters first, then cut your teeeth on limewire, then try the better p2p stuff.

A bit torrent is a link to a file that is being shared. A torrent is the file, hence.... bit of torrent.
You need torrent software....such as...(free) www.torrents.com to download a torrent then you get the link first (bit of torrent) then it is TRACKED (finding users with file) and your download will start.
In other words, it is like the "search" option in file sharing programs.With torrents, you get parts of the file from many sharers, depending on its health (how many people are sharing it).
Torrents can be really slow and are supposed to work as a reward system....
Sorry, you go to a torrent search engine to see if the file (movie or whatever) is being shared and then you click on the download option..(link to file).
I would suggest you use p2p software first, to get the hang of things, if you haven't already.

You need to download a program such as u-torrent. then use the search in the program to find torrents (file containing tracking instructions) for the files you want. A tracker is what is used to keep track of who has what files and who is sharing at the moment. These programs allow you to connect to a network of people with pieces of the files you are looking for and download them from a lot of people at once.

you need a torrent opening like in the way you open a winzip file.
go to a site like isohunt.com download the .torrent (like cd.torrent)and opening using the program you just got from like bittorent.com
