I have recently downloaded a software (All video converter) which took place in Program folder. After deleting it from Add/Remove section, I have deleted it from program folder too. Can I do this? Will it affect the computer in any way?

The good thing is that you used add/remove programs first. Chances are that it may not have worked had you not since there are usually in-use DLL and OCX files in the various program folders which cannot be deleted while still in use.

As long as you are 100% sure that the folder within the Program Files folder deals only with the program you just removed from Add/Remove programs, then deleting the folder is OK since it most likely only contains files that were created after installation that are not required for the program to function. Examples are settings files and log files.

Watch out for vendors that use one top level folder for multiple programs (Adobe / Macromedia for example).

As far as affecting your computer, deleting unneeded files frees up drive space which is a good thing.

Of course not. If the program have been removed succesfully, then you delete the folder of this program. It isn't affect your computer.
But, if you delete the folder first, then running the program, itsn't working properly. And you can't unistal it

no i will not affect your computer in anyway. just make sure you delete the specific folder of the uninstalled software. program files folder is on of the very important parts of your operating systems so i suggest to be very cautious in doing this. :)
