Never install more than one anti-virus on your PC, as they may conflict with each other. On the other hand, its always good to install more than one anti-spyware.

Both of these are free.

No, you should never have more then one anti virus running at the same time, they will conflict with each other.

What are the best anti virus programs. Norton and McAfee. Both work well but are a little spendy. AVG is a very good anti virus and is free.

No, I don't think you can have to security software at the same time, if u want to install any new anti-virus it should ask u to remove the old one first.

any way i would recommend AVG anti-virus from Grisoft its free of charge, updated daily for free too, u can download it from the internet, and it doesn't consume much of the memory......

NO. You can't use 2 AV at the same time. It will not double protection and will hog resources. Some AV programs hate each other that they would report the other one as a virus if installed together.

Try AOL Active Virus Shield, its free and its good. Get it at http://www.activevirusshield.com

Enjoy.

Yes you can. But some bad anti-viruses will interfere with the others. AVG, without a doubt. AVG catches an unbelievable amount of viruses that Avast, Norton, or McAfee doesn't. The home page is :

The free version, which still owns the Avast, Norton, or McAfee pay version can be found here:

"freeware", what a nice word.

You don't want to use 2 ant-virus programs at the same time, they will constantly fight with eachother. McAffee is a RAM/CPU hog, so I would not recommend it. Norton is the other big one, and I've never used it, but from what I understand it is a RAM/CPU hog as well. AVG is free so if you want a free one go with it. AVG also uses very little resources.

unless you want problems with windows stick to one anti-virus, actually when you install the second one often times it will MAKE you unistall the first one to proceed with the installation. And yes, AVG is definitely the best...
