Software - November 2006

I own a computer thats at my brothers house and im the only one in my familly that knows computers. well my little brother uses the computer. well when i looked at his site history i found some things that lets just say are not ment for him to see. what i want to do is block him from these sites without him being able to see that some kind of software is blocking the site. Can i do this and if so with what software?

I'm pretty technical but this one has me stumped. I can't find any info online either. I go into Add/Remove programs, click the "change/remove" button. all it does is search for other AOL programs, which I have none. Short of calling AOL, can anyone help me? It's on my Win 2K Pro computer.

Can I load a windows ME recovery CD, that will restore my Windows ME to factory install level, on top of Windows 98 and will it then become Windows ME? Or do I risk losing the 98 system entirely? (Two separate computers)

It is cool that I wouldn't have to pay for music like itunes, but I have heard that it gives your computer viruses. Is there maybe something else that is better? Thanx!

I don't have the discs to re-install Office or many of my other programs because I bought the computer used and it came with them. Is there any way that I can copy the programs onto disc from the computer if I am going to lose them? The computer has enough memory to be upgraded to XP.

I have recently installed a game (Silent Hill 4) that says it will not run on my computer because my current graphics card is not 'up to date' enough. However, I read somewhere online that there is a free program that you can download to 'trick' your PC into thinking that you have a different video card installed. Does anybody know where I can find such software?

i try selecting the file and delete, but every time i select my OutLook will hang, and shut down, and i try finding the root file in the (C:/) folder, but Microsoft but all the Inbox files into one file, what do i do just to delete that one file??

I have been trying to install desktop themes for my pc. So it's a zip folder I try to extract it but I don't know were to put it and after it's there I don't know how to install it. The last thing I did was save it on my desktop, so what can I do to install it. Please, can anyone help i've been here all morning trying to figure it out, and i'm also new to this.
