Yes. Publisher can accept data from a variety of file types including Excel, Word, Access, Works, and dBASE. It can also import from tab-delimited or comma-delimited text files.

If you are using data from a text file, a table, or spreadsheet, make sure that the first row contains your field names (such as First Name, Last Name, etc.). Edit the data file in its native program beforehand to ensure this.

To select oneof the external data sources, choose Mail Merge, Open Data Source, and then choose Merge information from another type of file. You can select the file you want in the Open Data Source dialog box that appears.

In the Open Data Source dialog box, the default format is MS Publisher (.mdb). To retrieve a different data type, open the Fies of type drop-down list and choose the type you want.

As has been reported earlier, writer expects one list set in step with web page. once you've 4 of a similar record on a web page, what I do is make the web page setup smaller and then print numerous pages in step with web page. only divide the height of a web page into 4 and set the recent web page setup to the recent web page height. regulate the record placement to in good structure the recent length to boot.
