I have an actual CD cleaning kit. It comes with a holder for the CD, soft lint-free cloth and CD cleaning solution. I spray 2-3 pumps of the solution onto the CD and wipe from the inside to the outside of the CD. Do not go in a circular pattern, this might hurt the CD.

i use alcohal and cotton swabs on mine and that always seems to work, your best bet would be to go buy a cleaner spray and disk cleaner from wally world for like 9.99
