My computer cannot install IIS. I need a software to replace it.

The software of web server should totally have the functions of IIS, supporting HTML, ASP, VBscript and SQL Server 2000.

Sure, free software is bettter.

So I have installed Spyware doctor on my computer, and before is has worked, but its like updated like so it works better or something. I'm running windows 98 still and when I try to open it I get a message saying "The procedure entry point LZOpenFileA could not be located in the dynamic link library Kernel32.dll" I was thinking maybe I should reinstall windows but i don't know if it's a good idea. So what would be the best thing to do? Or may my computer be too outdated for this program?

My mom's computer will all of a sudden practically stop everything, and those loading noises, you know, the ones you normally hear?.. they start making a little beat, i don't get it. it's the same thing over and over again. Is this some sort of virus?

I have installed a new mother, processor and HD in my HP and when attempting to intall the original O.S. (XP Home) it continues to tell me this O.S. is for intallation on HP computers only.

Is there away to force the install or a patch to force it? How might I go about installing the O.S. ?

i'm new to computers and have no idea what i'm doing, but my computer is starting to run very slow. my computer told me that a virus had crept in, so i downloaded avg anti spyware and spysweeper with anti virus, the spysweeper told me that it had quarentined the malware, then i defrafmented c e and d, i also got rid of files i dont use, i cleaned the disk drive,but its still running slow. what else can i do for free that will speed up my computer?could someone please tell me in laymans terms? thank you, muriel

My Win98 is full of bugs and keeps rebooting every ten minutes. I have a copy of WinXP and the entry key thingy but I am CLUELESS as to how to install it. When I tried to update the win98 or reinstall it - it was like something was controlling the computer and prevented it from making any changes to it. I read over the specs of what is needed to install it and have more than enough RAM and memory, two CD drives etc. It's when it starts talking about partitioning the hard drive and all that stuff that I freak out. I am NOT a techie person LOL.

If anyone has any info that could help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get anything done in a ten minute time frame LOL.

Please help! I installed an XP upgrade on my laptop that was running Windows 2000. The processed stopped after only 5 minutes and now my machine will not respond. I have shut down and power back on and I get a black screen with EXCEPTION written across the top and all kinds on code ont he bottom. I can't get back to my start up or desktop. What do I do??

I have a wireless connection, two computers, one lap top..I am able to install the ISP's software on one computer and the laptop but the main comp won't load the disc, so obviously it's not a dodgy CD. Rang the help desk and they said to contact the Vendor as they didn't know what the problem was-is..As i've had the computer for a number of years and bought from a friend, i don't know who the vendor is-was!....All ideas appreciated, thanks.
