I had to reboot my computer, so all the data is deleted, and I need Microsoft Office, and at this moment I don't have the money to buy it.

sat nav: tom tom one GB advice required..?
Could anyone tell me is there a way to get the "SPEED DETECTOR" thing with tom tom one.. someone has told me it's illegal..yet whilst browsing through diff sat navs.. I keep seeing thing about speed detectors/cameras etc.. could you tell me how it all works? do i have to go to a special website? buy a special thing? if you have one or know of any help u can give me.. i would really appreciate it. thank you , in advance, for all your help.

I had been using Norton before but this past year I've only used AVG, SpyBot, AdaWare but when I added Verizon, they had me remove it and use theirs.....now I've get viruses and grayware.

Yesterday I installed Norton Security Suite 2006 and now my machine is creeping and crawling very slow and don't know what to do to speed it up.

I can click on start, go to programs, and it'll take a minute for programs to open up.....Help me.

P.S. In 2004 I used Norton Antivirus and never had a problem with viruses or spyware.

I think the Security Suite 2006 must be a resource hog.

My neice bought a pc from a retailer for her college studies. I went with her to speak to the retailer who denied he installed such software!! The only thing he has offered is bring back the pc and he will see what he can do! I have a Windows XP cd that came with my laptop can I use this to reinstall windows xp in my niece's pc? Also she has over 250 itunes how can I not lose them I have Googlemail with gspace could I store them in gspace then reinstall? 2 questions in one I know but any help would be much appreciated.

If you have IE 6 AND downloaded IE7 and you want the IE6 back.
click start---
click all programs---
click control panel---
click add/remove;
scroll until you find IE7---
click IE7---
click remove---
and IE7 will be removed and IE6 will be back on the computer.-----

and for those that downloaded Firefox and tried to remove it from your computer as you did IE7 . And after you removed it you couldn't get Yahoo. download Firefox again.

DO NOT REMOVE FIREFOX -------
right click on start---
click on properties---
click on customize;
check Internet ----there will be a browser name in the box you just checked. [example Firefox].---
and if that isn't the browser you want or you want Internet Explorer,
click the down arrow
and there will be several browsers to choose from..
click on Internet Explorer---
and if you have IE and you want Fire fox , click on Firefox or
click on the browser you want and click ok.

I'm trying to clean up my computer and am looking in the
Add/Remove Programs file to decide what to delete. I also need the space on my primary HDD....I'm down to 4.37GB out of a 40GB HDD.

What's Click N Design 3D (a 293MB program)?
What's Data lifeguard Tools?
What's Lernout & Hauspie TruVoice?
What's KBD?

These are just a few things that I don't know if I need.

Let's discuss the issues involved in setting disk quotas from both a management perspective and a user perspective. Does it basically come down to a lack of responsibility on the part of users? Or is the management of an organization acting too harshly when they set quotas, basically assuming that users will be irresponsible?

I have worked outside the US for fifteen years and now I have retired in the US with a large amt of DVDs that I bought. Now I realize that I cannot share them with my son unless I copy them and change the region. So far the copy programs that I have bought fail to change the regional number to number 1. thank you

I have a PC connected to my network. I can hardly personalise my user account. I am now sick of the blue and green start bar, and want to change the colour scheme, but I can't get into display settings as it is disabled.

Question is - do you know a program that I can use on my memory stick (or install) taht would change the theme?

my auto run feature on both my dvd drives has stopped working,when i used to insert a game for example it used to auto run straight away to a splash screen,but know i need to right click and explore the disc and look for setup.exe
i reckon its a peice of software thats disabled the autorun,but as i dont know which one and i dont want to uninstall all of them ,this is not a option
also a system restore is out the question as i dont know exactly when the autorun stopped working
so my question is,,,how can i get the autorun working again as its got to be something simple
also i have my p.c dual booted with vista(beta 5600) and the autorun works fine in vista,so its not a hardware problem
i installed a program a while ago called "visual autorun",now would this be the cause of the problem,shall i re-install it and see if this works
any help would be great
