Firefox 2.0
- The Gecko rendering engine is more standards-compliant
- Cleaner interface (IE7 copied a lot of it, but it's still not the same)
- Better extension/add-on support (more of them, easier to install/remove)
- Inline spell check for web forms
- Phishing protection uses a regularly-updated local file by default, protecting your privacy. (You can set it to check an online Google database if you like as well)
- Security fixes for Firefox released faster than for IE
- Regular release of new versions, unlike IE - you'll be able to upgrade to Firefox 3 in the first half of next year and keep all your settings from Firefox 2 intact
- Free, open-source software!

IE7, by the time they get the bugs out of it, will still be inferior to Firefox even though Microsoft keeps stealing new ideas that Firefox has to use in the next IE version.

Definitely FF. I can't even get IE7 to work right on my computer-- I had to uninstall it and replace it with IE6. It should be easier than that on a DOS-based computer.
Firefox just works better and is less hassle free. If you're into gimmicks it has those, and they work right when you install them.

Right now, neither, really. I just don't like Firefox, and I'm not quite ready to trust IE again just yet. I'll stick with Opera for the time being, but if Microsoft manages to turn IE into a respectable browser, I'll definitely give it a shot.

Firefox! hands down.it works better with win98 and does not force stack dumps like IE does.
