Blogs, message boards and my recollection of some tech newsletters indicates that MS expires the installation 6 months after the release.

Windows Vista RC1 will stop working on June 1, 2007.

It is good for 12 months from the install date.

i believe it's 13 days from the install date at which point it will need to be activated by contacting microsoft.
