i have works 8 for laptop but the cd wont load as theres a few scratches on it,is there anyway to repair it or do i have to shell out for a knew copy?

I have some important documents that was emailed to me and that i would like to look up, but i have to do so by using acr abobe 7.0, but i can't seem to pull it up. I know for a fact that it was downloaded on my computer once before under another email address, but now i can't pull it up using my email address.

Webroot Spy Sweeper Internet Essentials Suite....is that a good product? i juss bought a new computer for the 2 time..my last ocmptuer broke down with viruses and everything. it got fixed manytime but it always catches viruses. and now im thinkin that i need somthin to protect my new computer. i did a lot of research and i can to "Webroot Spy Sweeper Internet Essentials Suite" thats the only on that i havn't tried yet....any ideas?

i work in the office...and yes computers are very important to me when it comes to my job haha

Can anybody recommend good software for checking hard disk for bad sector?
My hard disk is Maxtor, does Maxtor company has any tool for bad sector?

I've switched to bt internet service and have the bt/yahoo toolbar. The norton spyware button doesn't work as I am signed in with my yahoo id I've had for a couple of years and not the bt/yahoo id. Can I uninstall the bt/yahoo toolbar and install the yahoo toolbar.

I am running out of disk space to put music on my hard drive. I want to find more space. I see that I have many duplicate DLL files. I remember, a few years ago, that it was generally believed that you could move the latest dll file to the /system directory and delete all others. I had mixed results back then, ie some programs didn't run correctly. Any body got the straight story on this? Recommend software to find and delete?

my xp udates were on automatic mode today as it was updating the update told me I was using counterfiet windows, a small icon is in the system tray. Every time start the windows it gives a warning, can anyone tell me how to get rid of it.

I have a MAC powerbook Pro. I bought Windows XP for my MAC and don't know how to install it. When I insert the disc and click on it I see a # of icons that say autorun, DOCS, DOTNETFX, 1386, Readme, setup, valuadd. Autorun however seems to be a word document and doesn't run the install setup. If anyone has AIM and could help me out leave sn please

I have a powerpoint presentation that i want to show a few people but i dont want them to be able to copy or edit anything. i know i can save it with a password but if i make it read only dey will still be able to copy it all by saving it as a new file...is there an easy way of preventing dem from copying anything but still being able to view it?

if not i have thought abt copying all the slides into adobe pdf (i have da professional version of acrobat) but how can i do dis easily? can i simply copy all da slides into a pdf file? can anyone help with dis plz...

when i send this program for example through yahoo messenger my friend gets it but then his antivirus spots the virus in the program and deletes the whole program. is there a way the antivirus (when its on) cant notice the virus? can i do something to the file itself or something else PLEASE HELP!!!

Does microsoft have a ready made system for sending data from one Access Database to another via the Internet. For example: I want to develop a sytem where my vendor enters data into a database and sends the data back to me and automaticlly populates my database without me importing any files. Can you do this with no server side programming?
