I am interested in starting up a business where I design business cards, gretting cards, bookmarks, brochures, etc. as an online business. I need a good design software. I will also be doing additonal designing with craft supplies by hand, but I need the software that will give me lots of creativity.

I'm a person who likes to open so many websites at once (app 20 pages opened). I once used IE, and you can guess how cluttered by taskbar with IE icon. when I learnt about tabbed browsing feature in Firefox, I switched to Firefox immediately, and no problems occur when I opened so many tab as I could open.

but lately, I just noticing that Firefox is slowed down a lot (by the means of system process, not loading the page process) when opening many tabs which each containing friendster page. As we know, almost every page on friendster is containing an advertisement, in macromedia Flash.

I'm not talking about the ad. I'm talking about the flash. by the time when I opened just as much as 10 tabs, the Firefox is slowed down to the level that it needs 10-20 secs to switch between tabs. after I investigate, I suspect that the flash shockwave is the main cause of this. how can I turn off the flash plugin so Firefox doesn't have to load AND PLAY the flash everytime I open a new page?

I have an idea for an online business that will require a Web site with a back-end data base, i.e. people will post information and it will automatically be sorted by category, like for buying and selling stuff.

I've installed a program that's installed MySQL 4.1 on my C: drive. When I uninstalled the program, MySQL was still there.

I've got 4 questions:

1) How do I uninstall MySQL? It's not in Add / Remove Programs, and it doesn't have an uninstall program. It's in the directory "MySQL Server 4.1"

2) How does the MySQL program (mysqld-nt.exe) start with Windows? My Startup software and Windows XP don't list it amongst startup programs so how's it starting? I wanted to disable it from starting but can't find it listed.

3) From a security point of view, what harm can happen to my machine having MySQL installed?

4) Why would the program need MySQL to be installed anyway? i.e. what does MySQL actually do? I didn't like the word 'server' in the name of the directory!

Thanks!
