I am interested in starting up a business where I design business cards, gretting cards, bookmarks, brochures, etc. as an online business. I need a good design software. I will also be doing additonal designing with craft supplies by hand, but I need the software that will give me lots of creativity.

If you want to do professional design, I strongly suggest you purchase (if you can afford it) Adobe Creative Suite CS2. You can opt for the cheaper Standard version which has Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, all excellent programs that are a must for a serious entrepreneur.

go for Microsoft Publisher.. its the basic type but if u want some to explore your creativity potentials i doubt it'd be a best buy then..

the other more professional software is Macormedia (now Adobe) Freehand... its much customizable and great if u get the hang of it..
