I recently installed the Beta Version of Internet Explorer 7 and it worked fine for a few days...now it takes FOREVER to open up. There are several user accounts on my PC and no one else has this problem. What could be wrong?

When I attempt to run chkdsk, my computer reports "This type of file system is RAW. Chkdsk is not available for RAW drives". How can I make it work?

I believe you used to be able to go to "start" "run" and type "c:\fdisk" to format your HDD.

I have a windows xp pro that I want to replace with xp home. I can't seem to get it to restart in dos mode either.

How do I get to the screen to format the HDD?

I used nero burning rom to burn an AVI format video. the video is 50minutes long and 254mb. the problem is the video wouldn't burn. it says it's done the job after about 30 secs but when I check the cd it's still blank. please help me. thanx

My Brother just emailed me with this: He wanted to reformat the drives on his laptop. He backed-up all of his music/photo etc. files to an external drive, BUT left the external drive connected when he reformatted. The system, of course, with his blessing --- because he forgot to disconnect the drive -- reformatted ALL of the drives including the external one (This is how he explained it to me, so if something does not sound right, I won't be able to explain it). So the obvious question is: is he completely hosed, or can he unformat the drive somehow. In the old days, we used Norton Utilities for such a thing, but I have no idea what's out there at the moment and, therefore, have nothing to recommend to him. Thanks for reading this. Any constructive advice will be appreciated and passed on to my Bro. Regards.

When the converter comes up it makes the documents unreadable, my language hasn't changed on my programs, I can create new documents without any problems.

i want to edit my home videos and put them onto dvds or just avi files on the computer. theyre all home vhs tapes..and im using ati all in wonder 7500 as my capture and using windows movie maker..latest ver. and i as wondering everytime i start capturing i change my settings and i notice this one option of color space/compression...and the choice i have are uyvy or yuy2. whats the diff between the two? what are they? which one is better? which one whould i pick? thanks for your help.

I had some item years ago. I would put in, say, my brother's birthday, and could then set it for any day prior as a reminder. This calendar/reminder did not show but the reminder, when due, popped up on screen the day it had been set to. Using this for a Mac, preferably freeware or shareware. No" sticked not the same.

My laptop came with annoying Windows XP, and I've bought some (old) games that won't run on windows XP, I've tried downloading fixes, but they won't work. A lot of the support sites are suggesting that I install an older version of Windows. I have a Windows 95 CD, but it tells me to install from DOS. Thing is, Windows XP doesn't have DOS, does it? How can I install them both side by side without buying some multiboot software thing? I have both versions, legally, surely I can install them together? Can someone please help me, I've been dying to try my new game and this complicated stuff is driving me insane!!
