This depends on several things.

#1. The number of peers you are connected to.
#2. The available upload bandwidth of the peers you are connected to.
#3. Don't use BitLord because it's banned by many torrent trackers. Use uTorrent which you can get at www.utorrent.com.

Aside from that, a 16 GB file will take several hours to download in an ideal swarm. Also, give it time since peer address info is not immediately available to all members of a swarm. Each peer scrapes the torrent tracker at set intervals, at which point in time they will receive a new list of peer addresses. Sometimes the interval can be as long as 30 minutes so just wait. It should speed up soon enough as more peers receive your IP address and connect to you.

Sorry to tell you but sometimes you just cant get the files you want.
It depends on MANY things. I have never done a file as large as 16GB, but for example I had one 700MB file take less than 2 hours because the senders could send at High speed. I have also had 700MB files take over 2-Weeks because the senders must have been on dial up and only on-line occasionally.
Sometimes the people sharing quit and you will Never finish your files. (That's why its important to share at least 300%, or for a week, so others can continue the file after your gone).
Some connection sites allow you faster speeds AFTER you have shared a fair amount, so expect slow speeds at first from them.
In bittorrent you can also increase the upload speed and by increasing that the sites increase your Download speed.
Your ISP will also cut back the speed after a certain transfer total amount is reached by your computer, they don't want you hogging all the bandwidth from other customers, or running a server from home. and sharing large amounts of data is basically a server, serving files back and forth.
The more YOU share the MORE they share.
But like I said before, the most likely slow up is on there end and Nothing you can do about it.
