activation of windows?

Question

i am asked to activate windows within 7 days,, how do i activate this copy of windows xp without uninstalling or formatting?
i need to change the key... its urgent lads,, pls help me out withthis

You're screwed....You need to come up with 90.00 for a real copy....NOTHING YOU CAN DO SINCE YOU INSTALLED THE SOFTWARE WITH THE PRODUCT KEY ALREADY...

activation of windows go to a pc that has activation on it then you need to copy files from that

Copy the wpa.dbl and wpa.bak files to the floppy diskette. they will be in the system 32 folder on the the the computer that has its activation in



(OOBE) appears where you'd normally activate the product, decline to activate

Activate the XP Reinstallation
Restart the computer and use the F8 key to bring up the Advanced Boot Options menu.
Select Minimal Safe Mode using Up and Down Arrow Keys and press Enter.
Navigate to %systemroot%\system32 folder.
Rename the existing wpa.dbl and wpa.bak files.
Using the floppy diskette, copy the previously backed up wpa.dbl and wpa.bak files to the %systemroot%\system32 folder.
Reboot the computer

you won't have to change the key.

if a genuine one click on it and activate it
if a dodgy one them your screwed unless you get a crack which will infect you system with a load of viruses and you will will have to start again any way you are screwed
if you can borrow a friends number you can change your number to his and then activate it , itworks but is against the law

You can activate XP without registering it, just never try to update it. I KNOW this works
