In a few days im going to buy and iMac.. Just waiting to be released with intel core 2 duo. Do i have to install the "boot camp" so i install windows and run any pc software... Or can i run them on Mac...

its a program where you put in a picture, tell it what speed, and it makes it like frames of a movie, you have to just barely move your figure each time. very time consuming, but its fun, so anybody know a good program, i already got a camera

I have a laptop which was bought with XP pre-installed (not bought second hand). I need to re-install but was not provided with recovery/installation disks for XP. I have tried to find the i386 directory to burn to DVD but no luck. Any ideas?

BTW I have my product code so I'm not trying to do anything illegal!

I know very little about computers...but a friend bought a used computer for his daughter and wants me to erase the files before I send it to her...I am nervous about deleting something that will affect the programs or worse delete a program..in the Real One Player..in library when I delete a song...it asks if I want to delete it from hard drive....should I say yes.....also there is some files in library marked "U13FE" and are called wave files...they appear to be instructions for windows or something but are only in audio.....though when you listen the instructions apparently are for visual viewing...is it safe to delete them too...Thanks

This has happened with both my printers over the years, and my Mum has had the same problem with hers at home and at work. Why doesn't cancel mean cancel. Why does stuff we don't want keep coming back to haunt us?

I HAVE DOWNLOADED SMILEY CENTRAL. I CAN C D BUTTONS ON MY INTERNET EXPLORER BROWSER, BUT I CANT C D BUTTONS ON MY YAHOO IM WINDOWS. I always open my pictures un photoshop and reduce the size and quality, but I need to find a program that will let me select many pictures and choose an average size (like 100kb per picture) and reduce the size of them all so that I can easily e-mail them!

Is there any program like that? like a compressor or something?

When I use layers in Dreamweaver for layout and the site looks perfect, why do the layers move into different positions when I view the site live in a browser?

I think the colors on my monitor are messed up because of a software problem. I would like to uninstall the driver, but then how do i see the graphics to install a good driver?

It was "legal" for 6 months (ie. I was able to get updates from Microsoft) and now I get a message everytime I log on saying that it is an illegal copy (ie. I can no longer install updates from Windows?) What happened?

"Windows cannot format this disc" - what's wrong - is it the disc? The drive works, as I have other discs that work fine - this is a new batch (golding HD double sided 2MB) Or should i ditch the discs and get the new thing that plugs into the USB port? Any advice gratefully received x

ms with dvd shrink. whenever i click on ''open files'' and select where my films are located in browse for folder''. i get an error and cannot continue failed to open file ''c:/documents /phils/music downloads/video_ts.ifo the system cannot find the files specified. i get this message or simular showing whatever file i try to open. can anyone offer any advice? thanks

'm using Windows XP. I get the balloon in the lower right. I tell that not to upgrade. It downloads anyway.

Then I get the opportunity to allow it to install the upgrade I told it not to download when I shut down. If I tell it no 3 times, it now hounds me with a pop up every 5 minutes.

Since it refuses to listen, how do I kill it?

How can I remove a directory with a question mark in the file name? There are quite a few that were made by viruses/spyware. I cannot browse to them in Explorer, but I can get to them through the command prompt...although I cannot delete them. I try rd [dir name], but it says the syntax is incorrect.
