yes, everything should be new, once you restore the computer by using the CD.

The restore CD contains a hard drive image. The image is transferred to your hard drive as if you had installed windows and all of the programs yourself. Your registry after you use the restore CD will be the registry as it existed when you first got your computer. However, the file of your old registry may possibly be recoverable. It would take someone that really knew what they were doing like the FBI to get it though.

Yes it will restore the computer back to it's original status. Back up all your import files, programs etc.

whatever you have now will be deleted, so my advice is to do backup first on files you need

example: burn files to CD , use your flash drive, or send files over email if they are small,

then do restore on your pc.

I just had to do this this weekend, you wil loose evrything and the computer goes back to manufacturer status
