Sometimes my software will block the pictures along with a warning to tell me of that risk and asks if I want to download them or not. Sometimes they are just smileys. Is that because some smileys have spyware?

I'm 75% sure that there is some sort of virus that is causing my computer to not respond correctly. Now when I hit certain buttons they do strange things. It used to be bad but now its even worse. At first it just double typed letters (a goes to aa, b goes to bb) Now letters are becoming random and I can't even enter in my password to log on to my computer. It's now doing stuff like a going to aa and b going to bbbb. Also its changing a bunch of my keys. The enter button now controls the numlock button and the left arrow button shuts down my computer.

I am sure the problem is not the keyboard because I'm using the exact same keyboard that I have been using.

Is there any way to get on to my computer without the password and run some anti virus software?
Thanks in advance.

software, because I have gotten this program recommended to me from several people. When the search came back, there were several different links and websites...
http://www.grisoft.com
http://www.free.grisoft.com
http://www.free-avg.org
http://www.avg-anti-virus.org
http://www.A-V-G-Download.Com
http://www.avg.hq.com
http://www.free-AVG-Download.com

From what I can tell, all or most of these sites are claiming to be the real deal.

"Grisoft.com" and "free.grisoft.com" are the two that I am wondering if they are the same company, but I'm not sure.

I guess AVG (anti-virus guard) is now on Vista operating systems, maybe someone with Vista can send me a legitimate link.

Thanks. Happy Yahooing ; )

My laptop has become infected with a web browser virus that will not allow me to navigate through the internet. Each time I try visiting a web page it gives me an error message and begins to bring up pop up ads. I've ran a program that I've had on this laptop called superantispyware but it has not been able to delete this virus.

What can I do?

My significant other says our computer has a virus thanks to a program that he downloaded. Anyway, we're going to have to buy a new anti virus that's better than the one we have but in the meantime, is it safe to make credit card purchases through this computer?

I think the makers of norton antivirus are ripping people off. If I allready paid for the software why to I have to keep giving them $50 of my hard earned money every year to renew a subcription. I think that is so stupid. As if that company dosen't make enough money. They have to take more money from poor folks like myself every year. I know I can't go with out virus protection & I don't want my computer to crash. This is so not fair!!!!!!!!!!!

Does anybody know where I can get free virus protection that is NOT just a trial? I'm on a very severe budget at the moment and can't afford the exceptional prices for the software in stores..thought maybe someone may know where I can download some online.

I M P O R T A N T W A R N I NG ! ! ! ! ! ! !

Anyone-using Internet mail such as Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL and so on.

This information arrived this morning, Direct from both Microsoft and Norton.

Please send it to everybody you know who has access to the Internet.

You may receive an apparently harmless e-mail with a Power Point presentation ' Life is Beautiful'
If you receive it DO NOT OPEN THE FILE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, and delete it immediately.

If you open this fil e, a message will appear on your screen
saying: 'It is too late now, your life is no longer beautiful.'

Subsequently you will LOSE EVERYTHING IN YOUR PC, And the person who sent it to you will gain access to your name, e-mail and password.

This is a new virus which started to circulate on Saturday afternoon. AOL has already confirmed the severity, and the anti virus software's are not capable of destroying it.

The virus has been created by a hacker who calls himself 'life owner'.
