My roommate is basically stealing my internet service, I have a desktop, as does he, I have cable internet in my room and he does too???? I dont know how, He has a desktop and He is getting online, and i want it to stop immediately, but i dont know how to do it.

He's not stealing your conection, hes just using your modem's connection. But if you still dislike it, set up a password for your internet.

Since you both have cable internet, and you are paying the full bill, why don't you have him pay half the bill? I'm not sure I fully understand the dilemma. I also think that if you have a roommate, that it's important to be able to communicate, you can ask him in a nice way how it is he's come to have internet in his room, and then have a conversation about it, like you don't think it's fair that you pay for his share of it. If you don't know how he is getting online, then ASK.

Have it shut off, and if his goes off too then you know he is stealing. Ask him to pay for half, and if he won't, then get a password put on the account, or get a new service and make sure they set it up so only you can use it!
