Download, install, UPDATE and scan with the programs listed below. Remove (Quarantine) all items they find.
If you don't have an Anti-virus program (real time protection against viruses/trojans),
try this one until you find something better. It will be your resident anti-virus protection.
You can only have one installed-
AVG Free
http://www.free.grisoft.com
Keep the programs on the computer and use them often.
The programs below are for spywares- use all 3 and remove all they find. These you will use one at a time.
When one finishes - remove what is found and close it. Then open another one and begin a new scan...until you have scanned with all scanners...removing all found items.
They are needed, but, only they only run when you start them.
Always click the button to UPDATE before starting the scan.
(you can have more then one of these installed and it's recommended)
SuperAntispyware here:

Ad-Aware 2007 here:

SpyBot Search & Destory here:

Hope this helps.

Use protection,
your computer will thank you.

1. Set up a 'Firewall'...
With all that's happening on the internet these days it's simply too risky to sit "naked" on the internet unless you really know what you're doing.
Comodo Free Firewall
http://www.personalfirewall.comodo.com/
2. Keep 'Windows' up-to-date.....
Let someone else have the "fun" of being infected with the latest viruses. Visit 'Windows Update' weekly,
or enable 'automatic updates'.
http://update.microsoft.com/microsoftupd...
3. Install a good 'Anti-Virus' program...
AVAST 4 Home Edition Antivirus
http://www.avast.com/eng/download-avast-...
Not all antivirus tools are the same; if you find that the one you use isn't working to your satisfaction, you should do some research and try an alternative.
4. Install a good 'Anti-Spyware' program...
Ad-Aware, Spybot and SuperAntiSpyware are the programs I currently use to eliminate popups, spyware, and adware from my computer. They are well-written, and do not add popups or ads themselves.
SuperAntiSpyware (free)
http://www.superantispyware.com/...
Ad-Aware (free)
http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/ad-awar...
SpyBot S&D (free)
http://www.safer-networking.org/...
5. Get Educated...
To be blunt, all the protection in the world won't save you from yourself.
Don't open attachments that you aren't positive are ok.
Don't fall for phishing scams.
Don't click on links in email that you aren't positive are safe.
Don't install "free" software without checking it out first - many "free" packages are free because they come loaded with spyware, adware and worse.

1 way ! Go into programmes. look at prog.folders See if there is any folders that you dont recogenize. If you didnt put it on yourself, then someone else did! Open sucspicious folder, do you recogenise it? No? see the name of it,...Does it sound like adware or any thing unwanted? If so Open it so that you can see the sub folders, are they nasty... by name.
Virus progs like this will not let you delete them by whole you will delete the sub folders 1 by 1 and check the progress as you do. Your virus will not be able to work without its sub folders. Hooray.Check first that folder came from internet first
(where the viruses come from!)Make sure u are not deleting anything valuable.!Be careful !

Now that you have viruses, I suggest you run your antivirus software in Safe Mode. That way, Windows will not be loaded and you will, hopefully, catch any self-executable viruses.
Safe Mode:
Restart your computer to get to Safe Mode:
>>>As soon as you see the system trying to load (it will probably be black and white)
>>>and before Windows tries to load,
>>>press and hold the F8 key.
>>>Continue holding it down until you see a black and white DOS menu. I think Safe Mode is F3.
Click Start, Run. Run your AV program. When it is finished, you will “EXIT” to Windows. Your desktop icons will probably be out of order – just drag them back. I would Restart, then run a full system scan to be safe.
