My limewire will not connect it says a firewall is blocking or I don't have active internet access. But my internet is up and running and limewire is an excepotioin on my firewall what do I do to get it to connect

I found out my US Credit Card number was hacked recently and used for various dating related websites. So far, 4 out of the 5 total fraudulent charges have been reversed, with only 1 remaining. One of the sites' Security personnel informed me that the person used a Yahoo France e-mail address. Is there any way to check out who the person is albeit it may be limited information, or should I just let local law enforcement here in the States determine who it is and take it from there?

I have Limewire in my computer! and I think, i have downloaded some stuff like weird trash songs!

and our PC 2 years ago, caught a virus, and beforehand, we have been using credit cards to pay for an online game called "Ragnarok Online" !!!

but then, we bought another PC, and I installed Limewire.... again. and maybe, i've downloaded all these cheesy virus songs.. OMG!!!
Our Pc has a firewall, and I've use my debit /credit card to pay for SAT, order stuff online, and what not?

and I have entered my social security in applying for a job online, and some of my friends have used our pc to apply for a job too!!!

how do I know if my computer is safe from hackers? or from Identity theives?

Please! My social security is at stake here!!

i have a new problem with windows xp password

yo im thinking of getting Avast now
however, i still have a running Mcafee system running.
the security index displays security and antivirus on low because i cant update it until the admin returns in a month or so.

so I was wonding will Avast conflict with McAfee when it runs?

Yesterday I turned on my computer, brand new as of 3 weeks ago and It would not boot up. It gets to the stage where the windows loading bar appears and then the screen goes black and puts itself on standby. The computer remains on, doing nothing. It works on safe mode, I have tried system restore and Virus scanning. I used AVG and Reading error, Boot sector of disk comes up. But the program does in no way act to solve it. Only after I hit reset, after it has shut itself off (well seemingly the screen goes black) does it give me the option to swap to save mode, today it even asked me which OS I wanted to use, there is only Vista on here. This could well be a virus, as my limited knowledge of computers causes me to assume. I also tried CCleaner and ad-aware. No luck with anything. This problem has caused me much distress as I have no funds to buy other programs or the help I need to fix my computer.

My computer is a Dell Dimension DXP061 with Vista..my room-mate downloaded a game that crashed part-way and Zango advertisement popped up all over the place and now I have 8 of these Zango registry keys... I have a computer at home and my email address.

Some people have said they received emails from me but I haven't sent them!!!

One of my friends showed me a copy of an email with my address and a time on it - and I was actually 50 miles away at that time!!

How can this be done??

I downloaded a tracking app from utorrent that I didnt know was a tracking app.....my windows firewall blocked it when I opened it...do I have anything to worry about? I have windows XP that I just installed on my laptop.

I'm concerned about who may have access to my computer.....any help would be appreciated. I used a software recovery to see if it was deleted and all I found was the short cut. After running a system restore I ran the data recovery program again and found nothing. This is pretty serious so any advice would be greatly appreciated

hi have avast professional, please dont tell to use any other anti virus becasue i have my reasons for picking this my self. though the question is that i want to have zone alarm firewall instead of my avast becasue the zone alarm actually ask you if you want to install some programs and other cool things that avast dosent do , are they compatible and if not what do i turn off in avast so that zone alarm will work fine in my pc?
