Limewire won't connect?

Question

My limewire will not connect it says a firewall is blocking or I don't have active internet access. But my internet is up and running and limewire is an excepotioin on my firewall what do I do to get it to connect

Be thankful that your firewall is blocking you. What do you think a firewall is for.

Exit any programs that are running in the back ground like messenger or zwinki or photolab or anything else that doesnt need to be running . All that stuff that pops up when you put your cursor in the bottom right corner of your screen
